MK Lakers have a new home

It’s been a turbulent couple of months but MK Lakers are back to regular training on a new day in a new location with a new coach!

After losing our training venue at the end of the summer, the MK Lakers committee were busy trying to find a new venue. After a few stumbling blocks and false starts we have now booked Lord Grey School in Bletchley and have begun training there on Tuesday evenings 8.00-9.30. The committee also decided to bring together the youth team and adult members into one training session and it’s been great to see the more experienced adult players taking the teenagers under their wing.

Along with the new hall, MK Lakers have also got a new coach. We’re really pleased to welcome Frank Sieber to the club, even if he has us running around a lot more than we’re used to!

The SMKA league is well under way, so now that we’ve got our hall and coach sorted we’re eyeing up that top of the table spot. Bring on the matches!
